Artist Statement
| I am a firm believer that we are all artists. Many times I hear people say that they don't have "a creative bone in my body." We are each given a talent and sometimes it takes awhile to discover it. My art represents my life, thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Flowers are a favorite subject of mine because they symbolize beauty. Another reoccuring theme in my art is the circle. The circle symbolizes the unity of life. Art encompasses every aspect of our lives. You may be doing something now that you may not even realize is art. For example, the way you dress and accessorize yourself is an expression of who you are. That is art. Being an artist means freeing your mind from conventional ways of thinking. Creative juices will flow once you open yourself up to the Ultimate Creator. |
